SEATTLE!

So I get to travel quite a bit for work. I usually get to go cool places, which makes sitting in really boring meetings all day worth it. I work in the Financial Aid department of a collage and its my job to make sure that everything we do it legit. My friend Julie is almost always my travel companion, We travel really well together, well usually... Neither one of us was really excited for this trip and apparently the universe didn't want us going either....

Our trip started at 2am when we left our town and headed to the closest airport four hours away. Half way there Julie realized she left her entire wallet at home... After a quick call to the airport we found out she can still get on the plane but security would be a nightmare. We figured if worst comes to worst I would head on to Seattle by myself (luckily our boss had thought to send an extra business credit card with me for emergencies) We got to the airport and I sailed right through. I sat on the other side of security for about half an hour when they finally let Julie through! We would be going together!

We spent the whole first day playing in Seattle. I had no idea I would be walking uphill the whole time but it was fun. We ate lunch at pikes place and bought some fruit to take with us to eat for breakfast the rest of the week (fruit that froze that night in our mini fridge)

The first day of class was only a half day so we got to sleep in (YAY!). Our hotel was so nice, if you go to Tacoma stay at the Silver Cloud Inn. Our view was amazing and it was right on the beach. During class for the rest of the week they gave a breaks, Julie and I spent them laying on the lawn of Pacific Lutheran University (the campus that hosted our conference) soaking up the sun. Julie absolutely hates that we live in Idaho so whenever we go anywhere we get all the warm weather we can.

Sometimes we go crazy during these meetings and have to find wasys to entertain ourselves..

.

We got to play around the on the beach every night after class. It was the best part of the whole trip. . I did touch jellyfish! and little baby crabs crawled all over the sand. On our last night while walking along the beach we even saw two bald eagles!! Actually overall we didn't enjoy this trip very much. I expected to fall in love with this area but it definitely didn't happen.

After a very long week we finally got to head home. Julie's wallet showed up on day three (thanks to her husband). We jumped on an early flight to get home sooner. Julie had a powder mix in her suitcase that exploded on the way home...
